Jennifer is a senior General Biology major with a minor in Public Leadership, and she aspires to attend medical school after she graduates from UMD. This year, she has the role of ALD & PES’s Co-President. Besides organizing induction and new member events for ALD & PES, Jennifer is also involved in the University Honors Program, Terp Thon, Circle of Sisterhood, and Images Tour Guides. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys singing, hanging out with friends, and traveling.

Kate is a senior and a double major in General Biology and Civil Engineering with a focus in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. In addition to being Co-President of ALD & PES, she is also a member of the University Honors program and Concrete Canoe. In her spare time, Kate likes to travel, read, and hike. This year, she hopes to improve ALD & PES’s involvement on campus.

Jenna is a senior English and American Studies dual degree with a minor in Rhetoric. This year, she is ALD & PES’s Vice President of Membership and was on the Membership Committee for the past two years. Jenna is also a Writing Center Tutor, an ARHU Ambassador, and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board. In addition, she is currently working on and writing two honors theses for English and American Studies. In her free time, Jenna likes to read and play piano.

Jessica is a junior Philosophy and Government and Politics dual degree with a minor in Spanish, Business Language and Cultures. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school. Besides being the Vice President of Volunteerism for ALD & PES, she was a member of the 2-year living and learning program CIVICUS, she is the Vice President of Public Service for the OMSE Academic Excellence Society, she helps high school students with their college applications through the on campus organization HOMYS (Helping Out My Younger Self), and she currently works with and has completed over 50 hours of community service with juvenile delinquents in the D.C. area. In her free time, Jessica enjoys catching up on her favorite shows, socializing, and showing others how they can get involved in the community.

Patience is a Junior Neurobiology & Physiology major with a minor in Spanish. She is setting her sights on graduating and entering into medical school. As a proud Nigerian American, she loves being apart of the African Student Association club at the University of Maryland. In addition to her scientific research on campus, she also volunteers at her local clinic and church. She still makes time to binge her favorite Netflix shows, though, and spend time with her friends and family.

Rebecca is a sophomore Neurology and Physiology major who aspires to attend medical school after she graduates from UMD. This year, she has the role of ALD & PES’s Academic Enrichment Vice-President. She participates in philanthropic service events within CKI, Circle K International Service Group, and research data collection for the Mission of Mercy. She has enjoyed internships at Saint Agnes Pediatric ER and Law Offices of Alex Poberesky. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing the piano and ukulele, traveling, and painting.

Lauraine is a senior Multiplatform Journalism major and a Global Poverty minor. She is VP of Communications for the Spring semester. She has been in the Communications Committee for the past three semesters. She has written for various student-run publications on campus, and has interned with Voice of America and NBC Washington. In her free time, she likes to read, catch up on her favorite shows, and spend time with family and friends.

Hailey is a senior History and Communication double major with a focus in American History and Rhetoric and Political Culture. She plans to attend graduate school after graduating in May. In addition to being the Vice President of Events, Hailey is also an ARHU Ambassador and graduate of the College Park Scholar’s International Studies Program. She has enjoyed internships at the National Archives and spent a spring semester in Berlin, Germany. In her free time, she likes to read, kayak, and travel.

Lidia is a junior Biochemistry major on a pre-medical track. She is also a member of the University Honors Program, Terp Thon, and Delta Epsilon Mu Pre-Health Fraternity. During her free time, she enjoys playing sports, hiking, and listening to music. She hopes to surpass last year’s fundraising goal of $1,000 to provide more funds for scholarships and other events.

Kevin is a junior Finance and Operations Management and Data Analytics double major. He works part time as a Student Special Events for the university where he gets to set up and run events throughout campus, such as football and basketball games, various speaker events, Maryland Day, and graduations. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, playing tennis, and exploring DC.
