New Member Scholarships

If you are being inducted into ALD & PES in Spring 2019, then you are eligible for new member scholarships! Information on how to apply is available here.

About our Scholarships:
Scholarships are an integral part of ALD & PES. Besides sending on applicants to compete with other ALD and PES members nationwide, we award many local chapter scholarships based on these applications. A minimum of $10,000 in scholarships are awarded locally each year. This past year, $13,500 was awarded in local scholarships.

Blaze Fundraiser

Come out and support ALD & PES Honor Society at our Blaze fundraiser! Please present the attached flyer (either printed or on your phone) when you pay. Members can also earn a point by helping to pass out fundraiser flyers. Those who are interested should email Charmaine at (preferably at least 1 day before the fundraiser). Thank you!

Serving Dinner at Central Union Mission

Volunteer with Central Union Mission, a nonprofit organization that serves the homeless and underprivileged women, children, seniors, families and veterans. Volunteers will help serve and clean up during dinner service. There are only 5 spots available for this event. It will be on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested, please fill out the Google Sheet with your information. The last day to sign up for this event is Friday, Feb. 22nd at noon.

Directions to get there from campus: Take the 104 from Stamp to CP Metro Station. From there, you’ll take the Green Line (Branch Ave Direction) to Ft. Totten, then take the Red Line (Shady Grove Direction) to Union Station. From there, take the escalators out to the main entrance. Facing the traffic circle, go right on Massachusetts Ave. It’ll be two blocks away.

Jason’s Deli Fundraiser

Volunteering with St. Andrew’s Warm Nights Program

When: Sunday, February 10th from 1-3 PM
Where: St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church – 4512 College Avenue College Park MD 20740 (about a 5 minute walk from Montgomery Hall near route 1)

Volunteer with Warm Nights, an organization that invites the homeless to sleep safely overnight and out of the cold. Volunteers will help set up cots and other materials in preparation for the event.
